Music festivals are their own kind of fantasyland, but if you want to party at the real Fantasyland, now's your chance. According to NME, Electroland, a new EDM festival, is set to take place at Disneyland Paris, making one of the most magical places in the world even better.
Electroland is certainly far cry from the desert environs of Coachella, but that doesn't mean that some of EDM's biggest names won't be at the one-day event. After all, Electroland has something no other festival can come close to: a theme park setting. Guests to the event can spend the day at Disneyland Paris, enjoying the supermodel-approved attractions before the main event. As soon as 7 p.m. rolls around, the park will become an all-out EDM extravaganza.
"A spectacular outdoor stage of Production Courtyard, in the heart of the Walt Disney Studios Park, is waiting for you with a breathtaking decor," Disney says of the event. "You’ll be immersed in a magical universe and surprised by spectacular mapping projections in front of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror."
Who's set to perform? Steve Aoki is the headlining act, while Australian EDM duo Nervo will be supporting. Hometown heroes are also on the bill: French DJs Michael Calfan and Richard Orlinski will round out the performances for Electroland. Like any fairy tale, the magical even will wrap up at midnight, though we're not sure if the park's monorail system will turn into a pumpkin or not. And while it's a pretty far-flung locale for some EDM die-hards, the relatively reasonable ticket price may be enough for fans to dust off their passports. Tickets to the Electroland event are £38. For £65, Disney devotees can spend part of the day (starting at 4 p.m.) at the Paris parks before the big event.
