"Sometimes, I can get into a state of mind where an image will just flash in my mind. One time, I saw a storm hitting my mom's friend's house in America. I saw their whole house and their faces. I didn't really think much of it until the next day I heard on the radio that there was a hurricane hitting exactly where they lived. Usually though, I find it's just feeling that something will happen right before it does."

"I had a really trivial prophetic dream once. I got a watch for my 14th birthday, but it was from Singapore, so the time was wrong and I couldn't read the instruction manual to reset it. After heaps of tries, pressing every button combination I could think of, I gave up. Went to bed, dreamed about the watch. In the dream, I had to hold two of the buttons down simultaneously until the watch face started flashing, then press a third one to change the time.

"Woke up and thought, 'No... well, I guess I might as well try...' And it totally worked. Not exactly significant or life-changing, but I felt pretty damn psychic."

"I was struggling to have a baby. I had been depressed for quite awhile, as my husband and I had been trying for almost two years. I went for a hike and was thinking about nothing in particular when I suddenly needed to look behind me to check on the little boy walking behind me. There was no one there, of course, but in my mind's eye, I had seen maybe a 4-year-old boy in jeans and a plaid flannel shirt. He had dark hair and a broad face with deeply set eyes. About two years later, I gave birth to my first child. It is a boy, and he looks just like the boy in my vision."

"[I dreamt] I was on a plane, and the captain was talking to everyone, reassuring us it was okay. And for some reason, I could see out the cockpit window, and the plane was pointed downwards and heading for the ground. The plane was oddly silent until the last minute, when everyone screamed and I woke up at (presumably) the point of impact. This was strange because I usually have dreams I remember vividly, but I've never had a dream about a plane crash. It freaked me out, so I woke up my S.O. and told him, and he sort of was like, 'Oh, that's weird,' and went back to sleep. The next day, I read about the German airlines crash in the mountains (before we knew the copilot purposefully crashed the plane) and felt a very odd sensation in my stomach. Many people have just said this is a coincidence."

"I had a dream one night about a guy. I didn't know who he was, but in my dream, I felt he was my friend.

"I was standing in a park looking out into the town I lived in, I had a note in my hand saying, 'Meet me at the pub, I want you to meet someone.' To my left, there was a homeless man pushing a shopping trolley down the path which was forked.

"I looked down at myself and thought, I'm in my PJs, I'll go home and change. Next thing I know, I'm running back through the park towards the pub, but I was to late, I watched the two guys leave the pub. The guy my 'friend' wanted me to meet was someone I went to high school with. About eight months later I had the exact same dream.

"But when I looked down at myself and thought, I'm in my PJs, I'll go home and change, then I thought to myself, No, they'll leave if I go home to change, so I kept running towards them. But the man with the trolley stopped me at the fork in the pathway, and no matter which way I tried to move, he wouldn't let me through. And I saw the two guys leave again."

"Six months later I met the guy in my dream."

"I never have experienced anything psychic, but my brother has always been a bit in tune with some psychic abilities. He, and now I, believe that my basement has a spiritual resident. He told me that, every so often, he would sense that he was being watched by a little girl near the opposite end of the basement who would peek her head out of the corner. He never told anyone what he'd seen/ felt, except me. Fast forward a few months, me, my brother, and a buddy of mine are drinking in the basement, watching some hockey, when my friend suddenly asks us, 'Dude is your basement haunted? I get this feeling that there's a little girl peeking from behind the pool table.' My brother turns pale and I was just blown away, he and my brother felt the same presence, yet have never spoken about it to each other. All of us got too creeped out and went upstairs.

"TL;DR: My brother and good friend described the presence of the spirit of a young girl in my basement at different times while never mentioning it to each other before."

"When I was younger, I had just received a camera, so I was taking pictures of all my pets. As I was photographing one of our dogs, for some reason I thought, 'Wouldn't it be weird if you died tomorrow and I had the last pictures of you?' We spent the next day burying him up on the hill after he died that morning.

"I also have had a few times where I had a dream of a conversation or a situation where something went wrong or I said something wrong. That situation actually comes up days to months later, and I am able to avoid creating the bad situation by not repeating the situation in my dream. I'm convinced that I'm just strange."

"I was dropping a friend off at the San Diego airport around 3:30, and felt like I couldn't just leave him for some reason. So, I pulled around to short-term parking and decided to chill and listen to the radio for a while so I wouldn't have to drive back if he missed his flight or whatever. I seriously just felt weird and figured I could kill 20 to 30 minutes there just because.

"Suddenly, the fairly huge 7.2 earthquake hit. All the cars were shaking and alarms were sounding. The lamp posts and airport windows were buckling. People were running out of the airport in a panic. Suddenly, he calls all shaken up and asks how far away I was. I looked up and could see him in the crowd. His flight, already partially boarded would leave without him, because all of the evacuees had to wait until cleared to go back inside. He had to rebook the flight.

"This freaky gut instinct thing has manifested several times in my life. This was the weirdest of all, though. I honestly couldn't bring myself to leave the airport, but I didn't know why."

"I woke up in the middle of the night and sleepily went to open the basement door without knowing why. The silent cat walked out. He had beamed me the info that he needed to get out while I was sleeping."

"Sometimes, things get forced onto me without me trying. About two weeks after my dad passed away, I was getting ready for school, and I became overwhelmed with grief. I started to cry, and said, 'Dad, I'm so sorry. I wish I could just tell you that I'm sorry. I wish that I could talk to you one more time...' (Our last conversation had been an argument, and our relationship was not good.) I was listening to Pandora, and at this time, 'My Little Girl' by Tim McGraw started playing! Of course, I started crying more. I skipped the song, and 'I Loved Her First' (another father-daughter song) came on. Skipped again, and 'Let it Be' (his favorite song) came on. I don't even know how that happened, because Beatles songs weren't on Pandora, as far as I knew. I guess it was a cover band or something. I just sat on the floor and said, 'I get it, Dad. Thank you.' He knew I was sorry!"

"When I was in secondary school, there was a little shop up the road that we would sneak out to at lunchtime. The reason we would have to sneak out was because we weren't allowed to leave the school until the end of the day, so obviously if we got caught sneaking out, we'd be in trouble.

"Anyway, one night I had a dream that we were sneaking out to go to the shop at lunchtime, but in this dream, the principal caught us sneaking back in and we got in trouble. The next day when it was lunchtime, I refused to go to the shop with my friends just because I had gotten a bad feeling from having that dream.

"Anyway, my friends head off without me and I stay in the school. Lunchtime ends, and as I'm walking back into the school from the yard, I see the principal at the gate catching people people who had snuck out. The weird thing was he was wearing the exact same suit as he had worn in my dream. And this was an unusual greenish type suit that I hadn't seen on him before. He usually wore dark ones.

"I don't believe in psychic stuff but that whole episode was a bit weird for me, given how accurate the dream was."

"I was at Target during lunch with a coworker, and we just happened to be walking past the toy aisle and I turned into it. Saw a pack of extra Nerf darts. I thought that my son was running out of them. So I bought them and went to work. That evening when I got home, my son was sitting on the front porch with his Nerf gun. Keep in mind I hadn't told anyone about the darts. I had even forgotten about them, and they were sitting on the back seat of my car. I got out and he says, 'Dad, I really need some more darts.' I turned around and opened the back door to my car and grabbed the darts and said, 'Like these?'

"Still have no idea how we connected thoughts like that. It must have just been a Nerf miracle."

"One night, I dreamed I was walking to the park. I saw a little girl, maybe 5 years old, walking to the park with her mom. They were crossing the street, and a truck hit the girl.

"Next day, I'm watching TV. [I see the] same park, same street, same little girl, and the same truck coming at her. Right before she would [have gotten] hit, someone who looks exactly like me jumped out and pushed her to safety."

"This happens several times a week. I'll be going about my day, driving around, sitting in class, just doing whatever, and I'll think of an event in an episode of a TV show or a movie. I'll go home later that night, and sure enough, it'll be that episode or movie on TV."
