Oscar season is in full swing and Casey Affleck is on a media blitz to promote his movie, Manchester by the Sea. With that said, Casey Affleck doesn't seem like a natural fit for Saturday Night Live. That's because he's less of a movie star and more of a character actor. (Also, Manchester by the Sea is a movie that will leave you bawling.)

Regardless, Affleck gave the silliness his all. The best use of his talents was probably in the Dunkin' Donuts sketch where he plays a typical Masshole. But the best sketches of the night were the ones with Casey Affleck.

The homage to Run-D.M.C.'s "Christmas in Hollis" was strong. So was the Love Actually Hillary Clinton parody. And because it's SNL, the cast went all in on its political commentary regarding our president-elect.

Ahead, the best sketches from last night's Saturday Night Live.

Putin's Christmas Gift For Donald Trump
President-elect Trump has voiced displeasure with his betrayal on Saturday Night Live time and time again. This week, the SNL team decided to push the envelope even farther. Here's the setup: Trump gets a surprise visit from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The added bonus is a cameo by John Goodman.

    Jingle Barack
This is was, by far, the best sketch of the night. Jingle Barack is a tribute to Run-D.M.C.'s "Christmas in Hollis" and it had everything you want in a sketch: A farewell to Obama, Chance the Rapper rapping with Kenan Thompson, Casey Affleck as break-dancing Jesus, and cameos by Rev Run and DMC. Perhaps the best moment is when Leslie Jones comes out rapping an ode to Joe Biden.

    Hillary Actually
On Monday, electors will decide who will be our next POTUS. In a last-ditch effort, Hillary Clinton (Kate McKinnon) is going to the door of electors à la Love Actually to remind them that Donald Trump is "cray." It's everything you want in the Love Actually-Hillary Clinton crossover you didn't even know you needed — and more.

Chance The Rapper Performs "Finish Line"
You guys! They actually posted the performance! Probably because it was Chance the Rapper and — as always — he was incredible. Watch and enjoy.

    Christmas Miracle
Let's be honest: If it wasn't for Kate McKinnon, this would be the worst sketch, ever. But McKinnon sells it. Sure, Affleck and Cecily Strong tell their "Christmas miracle" story, too, but it's boring. The real Christmas miracle is that no one broke character.
