So, That Julianna Margulies-Archie Panjabi Good Wife Feud Was Maybe Real

On The Good Wife, Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi had plenty of reasons to have bad blood. Hello, Kalinda totally slept with Alicia's husband! Though their characters ended up being drinking buddies, rumored friction between the award-winning actresses is said to have contributed to Panjabi's exit from the show last season. (Pause to pour one out for those boots and that little notepad.) The fact that Margulies and Panjabi separately filmed the final scene in which they appear together fueled rumors of their conflict. Margulies tried to dismiss the reports during last weekend's New Yorker Festival, but may have inadvertently stirred up more drama. "Right, I've heard about [the feud]," Margulies said, according to Vulture. "Who says that? It's totally gossip... There's no story there, sorry… I actually had heard [that rumor] and I feel that it has been talked about and answered. I feel people just like to have gossip or make something into something that isn't there. There's no animosity on my part. It's a shame, because I wonder if it was two men, when one finds out that he fucked his best friend's wife, if it would get that same attention, you know what I mean?" She went on to defend the final scene's split-screen shoot, suggesting that Panjabi's new gig kept her away from the set. "It was shot the way Robert [King, the show's co-creator] wanted to shoot it, and the story line, too," she said. "You also have to remember, there’s difficulty… [Panjabi] was also doing another show, called The Fall. I went along with whatever Robert asked me to do, and I did it happily." Now Panjabi has spoken up, tweeting that she was totally available and not working on another show at that time.
So...does that mean there is a feud? Is there one now? Why can't our favorite characters be cool with each other in real life? We might need Alan Cumming to weigh in.
