We've said it once and we'll say it again: The bandana
trend of 2015.
It's simple, it's versatile, and it can instantly add a sense of creative cool to any outfit. And now, it's officially gone from dollar store buy to Paris Fashion Week runway trend.
At Sacai, designer Chitose Abe is no stranger to reinventing the simplest of basics. She is a master at taking an array of patterns, cuts, and accessories that may seem like a lot, and making them work. Here, she showed loose silhouettes, deconstructed separates in bold patterns, and translated the bandana's signature paisley print to maxi-skirts, cut-up tees, and loose frocks (while also decorating models' necks in the classic take
of the piece: folding it diagonally and tying it around their necks, western-style).
There may be 101 ways to wear a bandana (and tons of colors to choose from), but the simplest way will always
reign supreme. Throw one on for work or play and you'll instantly create an enviable neck situation that not only looks good, but is also super budget-friendly. It's a win-win.
