Yes, The Beckhams Are Richer Than The Queen Of England

Perhaps one of the best headlines from the 2010 wedding coverage of Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived via The Awl. It read: "Unemployed English Girl to Wed Soldier from Welfare Family." Accurate? Absolutely. Hilarious? That sort of depends on who you ask. But, the fact remains that no matter what level of love you have for the royal family, their worth isn't measured in monetary value. What's more: Queen Elizabeth II isn't the wealthiest Englander these days. Turns out, the Beckhams have surpassed her. As The Telegraph reports, according to the Sunday Times Rich List 2015, the Queen has an estimated worth of £340 million (up £10 million from last year — not too shabby). But, according to The Telegraph, the Beckhams are worth literally tens of millions more. The family's current worth is estimated at £470 million, and that number is expected to increase by £30 to £40 million each year. So, where is all this moola coming from? Well, there are three main sources: Footworks (David Beckham's football-generated dough), "Brand Beckham" (endorsement money), and Beckham Venture, Victoria Beckham's fashion business — which, by the way, apparently generated about £30 million in revenue last year, 30 times more than it did when Victoria founded it in 2009. Pretty impressive growth trajectory, if you ask us. And the kiddos are starting to get in on the earnings action, too: Talk about dynastic power. (The Telegraph)
