The Prettiest Pics From NYFW

Photographed by Nina Westervelt.
You thought you were catching the New York Fashion Week highlights on Instagram, but those blurry final walk videos don't do a runway any justice. (Slo-mo can only show so much.) Plus most of the magic is in the details. Picture a tulle skirt elegantly making its way through a backstage frenzy, or the intricate stitching you only notice when you look really, really hard; or, on the other side of the curtain, the front row lit only by the glare of smartphone screens. Bet you didn't catch any of that on your feed. These are the almost-missed-it moments that remind us why we do what we do, and why this bi-annual event is worth obsessing over.

So, we crouched down at the foot of the front row, made our way behind the scenes, and got a real close look at the designs going down the runway — in short, we got right smack in the middle of it all. And the results are stunning. Ahead, the most heart-stoppingly beautiful pictures from New York Fashion Week that'll give you all of the fashion feels. (Yeah, those are a thing).
