Update: Looks like the Kardashians aren't out of the woods yet after last week's fireworks fiasco. A dozen Marina del Rey homeowners are filing a small-claims court lawsuit against Khloé and Kris after the fireworks from their yacht party woke up residents at midnight last Tuesday, reports TMZ.

The residents are citing emotional distress as the reason for the lawsuit and are asking for $7,500 each. According to TMZ, one resident says her child was upset by the noise, and another says her multiple sclerosis has been worse since the fireworks.

Only time will tell if the Kardashians will fork over the money or will be able to get themselves out of this one unscathed.

Not everyone is on board with the Kardashian-Jenners, and now you can add Marina del Rey residents and L.A. city officials to that list. As reported in US Weekly, Khloé threw a yacht party on Tuesday night for her boyfriend James Harden's birthday — and things got a little loud. Nope, it wasn't just music: A massive fireworks show went off at midnight, according to tweets and Instagrams. One local even tweeted that he thought it was a terrorist attack at nearby LAX. Naturally, some people are upset, including city officials.
In true Kardashian-Jenner fashion, the entire clan showed up, including Kendall, Kylie, Kim, Kanye, Tyga, and more. There was reportedly an all-white dress code for the swanky affair — would you expect anything less? — and Kylie posted photo booth snaps from the bash on her Instagram.

But here's where it gets complicated: TMZ reporters spoke to law enforcement officials and learned that a permit was granted for the party, but not for the fireworks. The site even spoke to the L.A. department that issues permits for the marina, and it insisted that it would never grant a permit for such a show on a non-holiday in the middle of the week. Do we sniff future legal trouble as a result of this shindig? On the other hand, something tells us they'll be just fine...
