UPDATE: H&M has revealed its first official campaign for its upcoming collaboration with Balmain. The ads, photographed by Mario Sorrenti, feature Gigi Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, and Kendall Jenner — all of whom have already sported the collection on the red carpet — posing alongside Dudley O'Shaughnessy and Hao Yun Xiang on a suspiciously clean subway car. The hype is real. See the images in the slideshow, ahead.

For those who follow Olivier Rousteing on Instagram, you might already understand how the Balmain brand is more than just sexy, beautiful clothes — it seems like the chicest clique around. It includes models like Adriana Lima, Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, and Joan Smalls. Rihanna has an invite. Kim and Kanye are in on it. And, they’re all pulled together by Rousteing and his enviable cheekbones. But, considering this is one intimidating power pack, as the creative director explains in the video below this is not a “you can’t sit with us” kind of crew. Especially not where the upcoming H&M collaboration is concerned.

With only a few hints of what we can expect from the fast-fashion partnership, Rousteing reveals the real inspiration to follow in the footsteps of designers like Alexander Wang, Isabel Marant, and Alber Elbaz of Lanvin. "I'm an H&M boy," he says. In fact, while he likely has a bit more inside access these days, he also admits how he was once the person waiting in lines for these special collaborations — "Two or three hours," he says.
When the collection debuts on November 5, consider it an official invite to be a part of Olivier's inner circle. "Thanks to H&M — that is this huge platform — joining Balmian and H&M is an entire nation," he tells the camera. In other words, consider the #HMBALMAINATION an opportunity to get one step closer to Rihanna.
