Kelly Clarkson Completely Slays “Jolene” Cover

Is there anything Kelly Clarkson can't sing? Over the past few years, the pop star has performed some truly amazing covers while on tour. Thanks to a few genius fan requests, Clarkson has gifted us with her take on Rihanna's "Stay," Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball," Nick Jonas' "Jealous," and Taylor Swift's "Blank Space," just to name a few. Hell, she even managed to make Tinder profiles song-worthy on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

But during her Albuquerque concert this past Thursday, Clarkson arguably topped them all with a breathtaking rendition of "Jolene," Dolly Parton's iconic country ballad. "I was a big fan of this song," Clarkson tells the crowd before launching into her rich, haunting version of the 1973 song about adultery, which was Rolling Stone named one of its 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
While covering a classic is surely intimidating, we think it's safe to say she completely nailed it. And she's not the only one to have tried — Miley Cyrus released her interpretation of the tune back in 2012. We'll happily take them both on repeat, thank you very much.
