More disturbing details about life inside "Duggarville" are emerging in the wake of Josh Duggar's Ashley Madison cheating scandal and stint in rehab. People reports that patriarch Jim Bob Duggar rules his family of 19 children with an iron fist, discouraging sexual behavior of any kind. "Jim Bob's favorite word is 'no,'" a source close to the Duggar family told the magazine. "He's like a dictator. He once saw a guy kissing a girl before marriage and confronted him about it. And the guy said, 'Jim Bob, show me that verse in the Bible that says we can't kiss. Get out your Bible.' And Jim Bob was like, 'Uhhhh...' because no one ever confronts Jim Bob. No one." Another source added that Jim Bob "calls the shots." Conversations about sex and sexuality are also forbidden. By the family's own admission — as shared in their 2014 book, Growing Up Duggar — the family also uses the code word "Nike" to signal when they are looking upon someone lustfully. "They say it, and all the boys look straight down to the floor every time," a family source revealed. "It's like an automatic military thing. Things like that blow my mind." Despite having a now-canceled reality TV show, Duggar also took pains to keep his children from pop culture. The source told People that he even removed the batteries from music-playing toys to discourage dancing. Sadly, this strict atmosphere appears to have done little to deter Josh Duggar from molesting young girls as a teenager, or cheating on his wife.
