Zayn Malik has extended his solo status from his career into his personal life. The former One Direction member has ended his engagement with fiancée Perrie Edwards, People reports. Malik and Edwards were something of a pop royalty pair, as Edwards is a member of the all-female group Little Mix. Both Edwards and Malik are 22. The pair have been engaged since August 2013. People reports the breakup was decidedly one-sided, with Malik leaving Edwards crushed. The news should please fans responsible for last month's trending hashtag #CANCELYOURENGAGEMENTZAYN. Just three weeks ago, the pair seemed to be a happy couple in a photo Malik shared on Instagram. He captioned the pic, "happy 22nd birthday perrie."
