Business Insider has acquired an affidavit containing text messages alledgedly sent between former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle and a woman who owned a Subway franchise. The texts include Fogel telling the woman he met a 16-year-old girl on Craigslist and paid her for sex, asking her to advertise for sex with other men on the site, and saying some really disturbing things about her underage cousin. "Any more news with your cousin? Tell me what u think about when u think of the three of us all together???" According to the affidavit, Fogle asked her, “How young would you like?... Would you want to have an adventure like that?” He also asked her to advertise herself on Craigslist. “Is this the same website you found that 16 year old girl you that you f*****? ...I still can’t believe you only paid $100 for her," she says. He texts back, “It was amazing!!!!” The age of consent in Indiana, where Fogle resides, is 16. The woman, with whom Fogle was having a sexual relationship, says she shared the text messages with Subway management after becoming uncomfortable with his behavior, Business Insider reports. No action was taken, and Subway claims there is no record of the woman’s complaint. An affidavit containing the text messages was reportedly subpoenaed recently by the FBI. The woman's lawyer, who was hired when the woman became concerned her relationship with Fogle violated the Subway franchisee agreement, said the FBI recently subpoenaed his law office for the text-message conversations. The messages in the affidavit were recorded by a court reporter and witnessed by a notary-public. They span from January 2008 to June 2008. Business Insider claims that they independently verified that the phone number in the transcripts was registered to a Jared Fogle. On July 9th, authorities in Zionsville, IN, raided Fogle's suburban home in connection with a child pornography investigation. Fogle has not been charged in the case at this time.
