This Brooklyn Pizzeria Was Named The Best In America

True New Yorkers know — there's no place in the world that serves up a slice quite like the Big Apple. Here, you can find a little bit of everything: from $1 late-night goodness and personal brick-oven pies to thin crust, thick crust, stuffed crust, and practically every topping under the culinary rainbow. And naturally, all New Yorkers have their go-to spot, the place they claim loyalty to and the pizza they swear no other pizza on Earth can match. Well, the pizza gods have spoken, and they've solidified our claim that the best pies do, in fact, hail from New York City — or, more specifically, Brooklyn. Juliana's Pizza, the quaint Dumbo eatery known for "its thin-crust pizza that is charred to perfection under a coal-fired hearth," has been crowned the top pizzeria in the United States by Trip Advisor. The honor is bestowed based on the quality and quantity of the restaurant's reviews on the site, proving that people are pretty much obsessed with pizza legend Patsy Grimaldi's newer venture (and not so much his original namesake spot, which didn't even make the cut). There were, of course, two other New York-based pizzerias on the top-10 list (because again, nowhere does pizza like the Tri-State): Neapolitan fave Keste and longtime staple John's of Bleecker Street both made the cut. It's simply further proof (as if we needed more) that you just can't mess with New York pizza — because nothing else truly compares.
