Watch Matt Bomer Call Out An Interviewer Over Gay Stereotypes

Matt Bomer stars in Magic Mike XXL. He also happens to be gay. Apparently, one reporter thought that would make him an expert in spouting generalizations about how the gay community might respond to his latest film. She was wrong about that. As BuzzFeed reports, Bomer took offense to a question raised by Hola Hollywood reporter Dulce Osuna. "This is a movie to please women, but also the gay community," Osuna remarked. "Are they harder to please?” As you can tell from the video below, Bomer wasn't really feeling the query. "I don't know," he responded, shaking his head. "Why would I ever try to boil down an entire community into a yes-or-no question? Would you feel comfortable if I said, ‘Are women harder or easier to please?’ I think one of the things you learn from this movie is that everybody is different. It’s all about communication and a dialogue between individuals — get rid of the labels, get rid of the shame, get rid of the stigmas, and just be your most authentic self." Preach! Good for Bomer for calling out a question laden with stereotypes. Let's nip these annoying presumptions in the bud and engage in more productive dialogue.
