If there was ever a moment that the American people were going to take Donald Trump's presidential campaign bid seriously, it has officially passed. The real estate mogul has done a grand job of making himself look ridiculous over the last few weeks — but a new meme makes him the subject of a highly sharable joke that will hopefully never, ever die.
#TrumpYourCat is trending on Twitter, and the Instagram account — which features a feline mascot named Donald Purrump — is picking up speed and spreading new kitty posts by the minute. The concept is pretty clear from the hashtag.
But, in case you need further explanation, furball owners are encouraged to: 1) Brush their kitty; 2) Turn the resultant fur into a respectable toupée; 3) Place said toupée on aforementioned kitty's head; and finally, 4) Snap and share.
Many of the resulting images bear a downright uncanny resemblance to Trump himself. Cats are not the only animals getting in on the action either: Guineau pigs, pups, and even horses are sporting faux combovers of their own.
