Nicole Richie’s Younger Sister Lands Her First Campaign

Nicole Richie's younger sis, Sofia Richie, has a new gig — thanks to Madonna (and Madge's daughter, Lola). Sofia is starring in the latest Material Girl campaign, marking the fifth anniversary of the Macy's juniors line. The 16-year-old was shot for the campaign at The Jane Hotel in NYC, complete with cake (there was a birthday to celebrate, after all). “Sofia Richie perfectly embodies the style and spirit of Material Girl and is the ideal new face for the line," Madonna said in a release. “I was so excited that I was chosen to be the new face of Material Girl because I’ve been a fan of Madonna’s since I was five years old! Madonna is God,” said Richie. “There are so many people that Madonna and Lola could have picked to be the new face, and it’s really cool to be a part of.” The collection hits stores in September. Rita Ora, Zendaya, and Kelly Osbourne have previously fronted for Material Girl. This is Richie's first campaign, though she already has a cover under her belt: She fronted the inaugural issue of Popular magazine this spring, albeit with platinum-blonde locks.
