Zoom in on Cara Delevingne’s index finger tat: The lion reigns supreme in this week’s star map. Starting Wednesday, the sun heads into the Leo until August 23 — and joins forces with lucky Jupiter. Boom! Expressive Mercury dips into the den one day later, setting off even more fireworks. With all this celestial energy in passionate, theatrical Leo, the world is about to feel like a giant talent show — or maybe RuPaul’s drag race, Cirque du Soleil, or carnival in Rio. Whatever. There’s just one thing to do: BRING it. The explosion of Leo-fueled creativity color bombs the world. There could be some fantastic displays of artistry before the summer ends. And — uh-oh — ego, too. So check that urge to dominate. We can ALL be royal, but who is going to rule to roost? Go easy on the power plays, stargazers, or life could turn into a Game of Thrones smackdown before August.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire! Summer crushes will heat up quickly under the romantic leonine heat. But are those blazes worth stoking? On Saturday, amorous Venus slips into retrograde mode, retreating through fussy, fastidious Virgo until July 31, then backing it up through Leo until correcting course on September 6. This five-week retrograde could jam up the signals in our love lives, causing us to mistake a slacker for a soulmate. A little self-control can go a long way when it comes to sparing ourselves heartbreak. Good things come to those who wait when Venus is in reverse. If you have a summer wedding planned, no need to panic. Just reconfirm everything: flowers, cake delivery, photographer...check. Oh, and take a little extra care with the seating chart, too. Plan to renew your vows on your first anniversary in a more celebratory way. Venus won’t be retrograde in 2016, so why not have a little extra insurance policy from the stars?
