These Photos From NYC Pride Will Make You Believe In Love

A morning of on-and-off rain showers did nothing to dampen the mood at the New York City Pride March on Sunday. Led by Grand Marshals Sir Ian McKellan, Derek Jacobi, Kasha Jacqueline Nabagerera, and J. Christopher Neal, revelers walked from 36th Street and Fifth Avenue down to the West Village's Christopher Street, the historic home of the city's gay rights movement. The march has been a New York tradition since 1970. And, if Pride weren't always an occasion for wild, colorful celebration, Friday's Supreme Court ruling in favor of marriage equality lent an extra spirit of victory to the festivities.
If you aren't lucky enough to be out and partying for Pride near you, just enjoy it all vicariously via these photos. Orange Is the New Black stars Lea DeLaria and Yael Stone were there to represent for the celebrities. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo officiated his first ever wedding at the Stonewall Inn, Mayor Bill DeBlasio marched with wife Chirlane McCray, and Caitlyn Jenner made her debut. All kinds of love were on display, as friends, partners, and parents waved their flags. Of course, plenty of dogs came out in their rainbow best too!
