Selena Wore Her Crop Top Backwards & It Worked

Selena Gomez knows: When in New York, dress as the New Yorkers do. That's exactly what she did yesterday, posing for selfies with fans in the Big Apple. The singer wore a streamlined, black-and-white outfit reminiscent of the city's sleek architecture. Her Balmain crop top and high-waisted trousers could almost have been mistaken for part of the skyline as Gomez towered in the lengthening pieces.

But, do you notice something a little different about her ensemble? While at first (and even second) glance the outfit seems like a classic pairing, Selena is actually wearing her top backwards. With the zipper front-and-center, the starlet has no need for jewelry. Let this be a lesson to all of us to get creative with our wardrobes.

Gomez added a boho twist to the look with a bright, leather Gucci bag and gold aviators. The fringe detail on her crossbody certainly offsets the formal feel of her long trousers and structured top. This Texas native knows how to perfectly blend contemporary clothing with free-spirited accessories — and we love it.
