A new report from In Touch confirms that Josh Duggar made three confessions to his father, Jim Bob Duggar, about molesting his sisters and a family friend, and that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar waited at least 16 months to contact the authorities or seek help for their children. In Touch obtained these details from a new police report released to them by the Washington County Sheriff's department. The report contains fewer redactions than the one previously made available.

"James said that in March of 2002 [redacted, Josh] who had just turned 14, came to him very upset and crying," reads the the report. "James said that [redacted, Josh] had told him that he had been sneaking into [redacted, his sisters’] room at night and had been touching [redacted, his sisters] on the breasts and vaginal areas while they were sleeping." The police report also states that Josh went from one girl to the next. "Apparently all of the girls were sleeping in a common room at this time," it reads.

During the months that both parents knew about the abuse, they did not seek professional counseling for Josh or any of the victims. Their knowledge of the crime could have cost Michelle and Jim Bob six years in prison, according to legal experts consulted by In Touch, had the statute of limitations on their crime of omission not expired long ago. It remains unclear why the couple failed to report Josh's confession to the authorities or seek help for their other children. The Duggar family will likely address recent information and allegations during a special interview tonight, June 3, on Fox..
