For Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Paris really was the city of love.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Kardashian revealed that it was at a fashion show in Paris where she and West began their romantic journey together. And, just to set the record straight, it was she who pursued the rapper — not the other way around.
Kardashian explained to AH that, although she and West had a spark from the moment they met, they were both in relationships, and kept their distance. "Our timing would always not really coincide," she said in the interview. Following her divorce from Kris Humphries, Kardashian knew she had to take matters into her own hands. "It was more me pursuing him," she told AH.
"I think it was six months after I was newly single in like 2012, I was like, 'Why not? What am I waiting for?'" So, she took the first step. "I called him, because I'm sure it was really hurtful that I got married," she told AH. "I thought he was going to call me as soon as he knew that I was single again," she explained. "He didn't, and so I called him and I said, 'Hello? I thought you were at least going to call me and say 'I told you so,' something?' Then, he invited her to a fashion show in Paris, and that's where "the magic happened." (Access Hollywood)
