YES — Rebel Wilson Is Now A Fashion Designer

As one of our favorite Aussie imports, Rebel Wilson's held a lofty place in our hearts ever since she reminded us why you don't accept free tattoos from a man in a van in Bridesmaids. We've long crushed on her comedy prowess and singing, but her latest achievement really makes us want to claim her as our BFF. Wilson has paired with plus-size clothing brand Torrid for a holiday collection, set to launch November 2015 in stores and online. The 25-piece capsule collection will include tops, bottoms, dresses, jackets, and accessories. Wilson included playful winks at her Australian heritage and love of performing, with microphone and koala-printed pieces. With prices ranging from $28.50 to $125, and sizes from 12 to 28, there promises to be something for every budget and body. While some celeb collabs don't offer more than an A-list name, we don't expect the same to be true with Wilson's collection. Liz Munoz, SVP of Design for Torrid, explained “Rebel's got a natural instinct for design. She's been totally hands-on throughout the process. She cares about every detail, down to the diamante rivet on the jeans. We love the results…she crushed it." Lisa Harper, CEO of Torrid, echoed Munoz's thoughts, “Rebel represents everything that Torrid is: young, fun, fearless. She has a strong point of view and inspires girls around the world to wear what they love, no apologies.” Like many other plus-size people, Wilson has experienced the frustration of shopping for stylish options above a size 12: "I've had a 'torrid' affair with buying clothes all my life," she said in a press release. "I've never really felt like there's a brand out there in the plus-size world that is creating cool stuff, that fits well, and is good quality, yet affordable. It's really only been in the last few years that I've seen companies try,” explained Wilson. “So it was awesome to team with Torrid, who I think are doing such a great job in making plus-size fashion relevant and dope. I've been loving designing the clothes for my capsule collection. I've been putting my unique style and personal loves into the clothing and literally can't wait for the collection to launch!" Although no images have been released yet, we're excited by Torrid's obvious confidence in Wilson's influence, as they've slated another collaboration with the star for Spring 2016. Stay tuned, as we'll be tracking the collection and showcasing images as soon as they're released. And, if anyone's afraid they'll be left out of the fun, no worries — Wilson posted this message to you via Twitter.
