Repeat after me: "We are not things."
That's the empowering battle cry of "The Wives," five young women enslaved by Mad Max: Fury Road baddie Immortan Joe. Described by actress Courtney Eaton (a.k.a. wife "Cheedo the Fragile") as "princesses of the post-apocalyptic world," the ladies are rescued by Charlize Theron's Furiosa. This, of course, angers Immortan Joe — who uses the woman as breeders — to no end.
It all leads to a very chilling battle, which you can watch in this exclusive clip. Fellow wives Abbey Lee, Zoe Kravitz, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Riley Keough rounds out the group) add in their own behind-the-scenes commentary, explaining why their characters' "clean" natures make them so coveted.
Theron, Tom Hardy, and George Miller also appear in the promo. While their explanations are intriguing, it's nearly impossible to take your eyes off the chaotic battle scenes happening on-screen. Did anyone else just feel their stomach drop?
