This Is How Kendall Jenner Does Denim-On-Denim

You really can’t go wrong with double denim — unless the year is 2001 and you’re Britney Spears with a young Justin Timberlake on your arm. There are washes and tints to consider, of course, but there aren't many rules. Pairing faded blue with black is a no-brainer, and doing chambray with dark denim is tried-and-true. But, don’t fear the Canadian tuxedo; two color-coordinating pieces can look unexpectedly cool.
Before Kendall Jenner hit the Met Ball in a barely-there Calvin Klein gown, she was fully clothed in head-to-toe medium-wash denim. Two pieces, one very specific shade of blue. It's a bold move that risks being a little too matchy-matchy, but because she kept her accessories understated, the result is super-stylish in a "what, this old thing?" kind of way.
Is it annoying that Jenner looks as good in sneakers and a baseball hat as she does in a slinky, sequined, couture dress? Well, yeah. But, you’ll make this outfit look amazing, too.
