Kim Kardashian Forgot That We All Saw Beyoncé

Here’s the thing. When you’re Beyoncé, you get to be the last one up the steps at fashion’s show-boatiest red carpet. And, when you’re the last one up the red carpet, you get to wear a dress that’s 50% train, like the feathered Givenchy concoction Beyoncé wore to 2012’s "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" fête. Semi-sheer, encrusted with shininess, with an exposed back, and featuring some serious plumage sprouting from her House of Derrière, it was a look that’s impossible to forget, especially if you’re the kind of person who pays attention to that kind of thing (ahem — hi!).

Except, maybe, if you’re Kim Kardashian, who was the white swan to Beyoncé’s black swan in a flowing Roberto Cavalli frock. Semi-sheer? Check. Encrusted with shine? Check, check. That low back? It's there, too. Serious plumage? It’s at least five stairs’ worth. Even the sleek ponytail and coy, over-the-shoulder pose is present and accounted for. Three years is definitely enough time for a wear-and-repeat and Kim is also holding her own in this very specific style, BUT...

Fashion never forgets, Kim. Fashion doesn't forget.

Edit: Actually everyone is wrong. Cher wins.
