Which Country Has The Most Powerful Passport?

USA! USA! USA! Sorry, were we being obnoxious Americans just then? We just couldn't help but celebrate our shared top ranking in the Passport Index.  What is the Passport Index? It's a ranking of which countries' passports are most "powerful" based on the number of countries that allow entry without a visa. The United States and United Kingdom both have visa-free access to 147 countries, and thus share the No. 1 ranking.  Not much separates the top two from the runners up: France, Germany, and South Korea come in second with 145 countries, and Italy and Sweden are third with 144. Our neighbors to the north in Canada share seventh place with Malaysia, Greece, and Austria, with access to 140 countries.  Holders of a Vatican City passport can enjoy a seamless trip to just 113 countries, but that's a lot compared to some. Solomon Islands, Myanmar, South Sudan, São Tomé and Principe, and the Palestinian Territories passports were deemed the least powerful, offering access to just 28 countries.  Something to think about for the estimated 54% of Americans who don't even possess passports. (Thrillist)
