North West Got Baptized In Israel Today

Last week, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's tour through Armenia made international headlines. This morning, the family touched down in Israel and while there, Kimye took the opportunity to have North West baptized. The ceremony reportedly took place at St. James Cathedral in the Armenian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.  As with all things Kardashian, it was anything but a quiet and solemn occasion. "Kim was mobbed as she walked into the church, shielding baby North from the massive crowd that had gathered outside the church," TMZ wrote. The story was accompanied by the headline, "North West Baptism: In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Paparazzi." Yahoo News confirmed that "hundreds of fans thronged the car, screaming and wolf-whistling as Kardashian climbed out holding her 21-month-old daughter, North." Yahoo also reported that both Kanye and Nori wore all-white outfits for the occasion. Kim wore "a floor-length, gold-pleated dress with long sleeves and plunging cross-over neckline." Even in the Holy Land, subtlety isn't something Kim, Kanye, and North can master. E! added that Khloé Kardashian was officially named  as North's godmother during the baptism, and a priest acted as her godfather, which is a common practice if there isn't one. Kim posted this photo on Instagram four days ago, and we think the caption pretty much sums up the occasion. (Yahoo! News)
