Pink Shuts Down Fat-Shaming Critics

First it was Kelly Clarkson, now it's Pink. Can everyone stop picking on our favorite female singers? The pop star formerly known as Alecia Moore took to Twitter this weekend to defend herself against nasty comments about her weight. Online trolls had been posting mean comments about the singer after photos of her attending Saturday's John Wayne 2015 Odyssey Ball surfaced, Billboard reports. Pink attended the event with husband Carey Hart, wearing an elegant black gown with a plunging neckline to the event. For some reason, the Twittersphere felt that was a problem, speculating that her figure was no longer as rock-hard as it once was. Pink then took to Twitter to set the record straight  “I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight," she wrote. "You’re referring to the pictures of me from last night’s cancer benefit that I attended to support my dead friend Dr. Maggie DiNome. She was given the Duke Award for her tireless efforts and stellar contributions to the eradication of cancer.  "But unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to some of you," she added. "While I admit that the dress didn’t photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt very pretty. In fact, I feel beautiful. So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about my. I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either:)…I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern. Love, cheesecake.”   Well put. The mother of one also shared this sweet comment from her daughter, Willow, then retweeted messages of support from fans who also had "squishy" bellies.
