Yesterday Was An Epic Day For Chanel

Considering
an average day in the life of Karl Lagerfeld could include anything
from jetting to Dubai with his posse of beautiful men, dreaming up his own language, or casually staging a
feminist protest on the runway, it takes a lot  for one day
to stand out from the rest. Yesterday did just that, proving to
be one of the most exciting in Chanel history. March
31 marked the New York presentation of Chanel's Paris-Salzburg collection,
which originally showed this winter in Austria — and not surprisingly, the
designer went all out for round two.

Not only did he stage a model reunion with
Cara Delevingne, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Lily Donaldson
(which was captured on Instagram, of course), but he
also made the fashion world's official introduction to 15-year-old Lily Rose Depp. She's the daughter of Chanel muse Vanessa
Paradis and actor Johnny Depp, so it's only a matter of time before Karl courts the gorgeous teenager
for a campaign. As if a fashion show and a celeb-studded dinner weren't enough, Lagerfeld also staged a concert to cap off the night. Pharrell
Williams and Delevingne teamed up on a live performance of “CC
The World,” their duet recently featured in Chanel's Reincarnation fashion film.

Somewhere
in between all of the action, Lagerfeld still made time for his side job: Playing stage dad for
Choupette. He told The Cut that his famous cat netted 3 million euros a
year (in just two modeling jobs). Just when you thought that the Kaiser would call it a day, he proved otherwise. This morning, WWD announced that after years of holding out, Chanel would finally join the e-commerce world. The brand will reportedly launch online shopping as early as next fall, so here's hoping that Lagerfeld can get some rest until then (although, we doubt it).
