Kelly Clarkson is giving us more than one reason to feel
good this morning. The chanteuse performed a sultry cover of Tracy Chapman's song "Give Me One Reason" on SiriusXM, and you can watch the video of her live
performance below. It's giving us enough life to keep going until the weekend,
and then some.
"Give Me One Reason" became an instant classic when it
appeared on Chapman's 1995 album New
Beginning. The song earned Chapman her fourth Grammy in 1996 for Best Rock
Song. Eric Clapton performed a beautiful cover of the song alongside Tracy
herself, which was later released as part of A Very Special Christmas — Live From Washington D.C., in 1999.
Clarkson is about to take off on her Piece by Piece tour in May, with a show at the Nikon at Jones Beach
Theater in New York. Hopefully, she'll belt out a few more bluesy tunes too, in
addition to faves like "Since U Been Gone." Her album hit number one on
Billboard's charts on March 11.
