Bristol Palin took to her blog on Patheos.com today to announce her engagement to Sgt. Dakota Meyer last night.
Sharing the romantic proposal, Bristol wrote, "He asked me to marry him at a Rascal Flatts concert. The lead singer, Gary LeVox, dedicated “Bless The Broken Road” to us, and then Dakota got down on one knee and proposed!"
Bristol is best known as the daughter of former candidate for Vice President Sarah Palin (who recently hinted at a 2016 run for the White House), as well as a stint on Dancing With The Stars, and best-selling memoir Not Afraid Of Life: My Journey So Far. She's also been featured on her mom's show Amazing America, which is how she met her fiancé.
"Dakota came to Alaska to film Amazing America with my mom last year. He met Tripp during that time, and I’ve seen him in a few places where our paths have crossed since. He’s visited us in Alaska, and I’ve visited his wonderful family in Kentucky."
The sweetest part of the announcement? "He’s wonderful with Tripp and I’m so proud to be marrying him."
Aww! Congrats to the happy couple.
