Transgender Teen Jazz Jennings Is The Adorable New Face of Clean & Clear

Jazz Jennings, a 14-year-old transgender advocate from South Florida, just landed a spot as one of the faces of Clean & Clear’s new campaign, making her Clean & Clear's first transgender spokeswoman, and the first transgender spokeswoman for such a mainstream beauty product.

As one of the faces of the "See The Real Me," campaign, she's featured in a short video telling her story. “Sometimes I’ve even been called an ‘it’,” Jazz heartbreakingly says in her video for Clean
& Clear.

Diagnosed with gender identity disorder at a three, Jazz and her
family are very open about her gender journey, and even released a children’s
picture book in 2014, called I Am Jazz.

Navigating middle school can be hard, but this year, Jazz decided to put
herself out there and is “just having fun being one of the girls.” And you can see her joy as she makes friends and finds her true self.

Jazz also has an 11-episode series, titled All About Jazz, coming to TLC this summer.

 "I thought doing
this show with TLC would be a great opportunity to spread my family's message
of love, tolerance and acceptance," Jazz said to Broward Palm Beach New Times. "All the
media I've done so far has been on a smaller scale, but this TV series will be
a whole new level so I can reach more people."

In her spare time, Jazz hand-makes mermaid tails out of silicone to raise money for transgender youth. We kind of love her. Learn more about Jazz's story in the below video.
