This Butt-Enhancing Dress Shape Is Going To Weird Some People Out

Sacai has always been a brand of contrasts. It's militaristic, yet it's soft. It's feminine, yet it's androgynous. It's flattering, but for fall '15, it has debuted what can only be described as a "butt shelf." And, we say that with utter admiration. The collection that showed at Paris Fashion Week yesterday included the familiar range of voluminous, badass outerwear that we've come to look for. It also had a small selection of pleated, white shirtdresses in a silhouette we'd never even think to look for — but might start now. See, Sacai has a way of taking staples and punching them up with new proportions. They suit the needs of women whose everyday basics are envelope pushing. Which, ahem, could very well be anyone with an eye for creativity. It's kind of like the everyday version of the Marion Cotillard Oscars dress, complete with cinching under the hips and above the chest. Yes, it's unusual, but think about it — this unexpected way of enhancing your curves might just be the most effective yet.
