Solange Knowles’ Travel Outfit Sets A New Standard

Our airport outfits are usually boringly predictable but incredibly cozy — basic jeans and tees that are optimal for in-flight contortions and long hours in the air. Maybe, though, if our travels took us to Paris, we might step it up a notch — perhaps swapping out sweats for black skinny jeans (okay, jeggings). While this simple swap may make us more fashionable than the average American traveler, we still wouldn't stand a chance against Solange Knowles. Neither did passengers arriving at Charles de Gaulle earlier today. Whereas in our airport-style book, "bringing it" means not wearing slip-ons, Solange took travel fashion to brand-new heights. Shrugging off any concerns about mysterious stains on plane seats everywhere, the musician strutted across the French terminal in an all-white ensemble, down to some daringly high mules. In fact, Solange was better-dressed than we are on most nights out. Her two-in-one bandeau top and long-sleeved T-shirt added texture to the monochromatic look, and an extra-long hem provided some extra leg warmth.  This ensemble teaches us a couple of things. First, that Fashion Week begins upon arrival — the moment your stilettos touch the terminal floor. Second, why wait until Memorial Day? Now's as good a time as any to don your all-white best. Shop a Solange-inspired look below.
