These Are The Most Popular Porn Searches By Age

Photographed By Lauren Perlstein.
Sexual preferences change across the ages. This is true in a couple of ways: What our society finds sexy now is often dramatically different from the ideals of yesteryear, and our own current turn-ons are probably not the kind of porn our grandparents are Googling. (Apologies for introducing that image, but yes, there are members of the 65-and-up set who are happily searching for their favorite sex scenes. But, they make up a relatively slim 5% of the users of Pornhub, the world's largest porn site.) Recently, Pornhub partnered with Vocativ to break down the preferences of its users from age 18 to 65, and it appears that what you search for has a lot to do with your generation. The most porn-enthusiastic age group is between 18 and 24 years old: Users in this bracket make up 31% of Pornhub's viewers, and their number-one favorite search term is "lesbian" — followed by "step mom," "teen," "milf," and "squirt." Meanwhile, 25-to-34-year-olds aren't far behind, claiming 30% of Pornhub's viewership and searching for the same top five terms, though "step mom" and "milf" are their two favorites. The next batch, 35-to-44-year-olds (16% of Pornhub's viewers) aren't interested in squirting, but they are interested in whatever scenarios that entering the word "mom" into Pornhub's search box generates (do we sense a trend?). The next age bracket up, 45-to-54-year-olds, ditches the "lesbian" and "teen" search terms and searches instead for "massage" and "Japanese." Meanwhile, 55-to-64-year-olds are into "massage,"  "milf," "step mom," "cartoon," and "Japanese," and 65+ searchers are looking for "massage," "cartoon," "Japanese," "granny," and "milf." While we're not sure why Japanese massages are so alluring to the older crowd, an age-related progression is evident: "Teen" drops off the list of most popular search terms once viewers hit 45 years old, and "granny" isn't on the radar for users under 65. It's worth noting that this report didn't measure user preferences over time; there's no reason to believe any given 34-year-old won't carry her fondness of squirting, for example, into her 40s and beyond. What's more, many of those studied didn't have access to the Internet during their younger years, and societal attitudes toward porn have certainly shifted over time — meaning it's reasonable to assume that porn-viewing rates among older demographics will rise as the Internet-savvy (and porn-comfortable) move up in the age ranks. In the meantime, you do you, Pornhub users — whichever search terms that entails.
