It seems like Selena Gomez fans are constantly searching for references to Justin Bieber in her work and the star's latest interview with V magazine, conducted by James Franco, is no exception.
As the cover star of V's latest issue, Gomez answered some difficult questions about growing up with fame, living in the public eye, and her love life. While she doesn't name Bieber specifically, she does discuss her previous relationships in a way that will have Beliebers convinced. And, who can blame theme? Her statements do feel in line with her time dating the pop star.

"I think the next [relationship] will be much different...which will definitely not be anytime soon," she told Franco. "That's a growing up kind of thing. I was 18 years old, and it was my first love. The older I get, I'm guarding certain things more."
And, that's the trouble isn't it? We so easily forget Gomez is just 22 years old — just 18 when she was openly dating Bieber. "When you're young and you're being told so many different things...it almost felt like all we had was each other, like the world was against us, in a way," she told Franco.
Regardless of the somewhat tumultuous time that relationship was, Gomez told Franco she regrets none of it. "It was really weird but it was incredible. I would never take it back in a million years. You live and you learn, you know?"
