Really? Sisters Arrested For Snapping Butt Pics In Buddhist Temple

Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world,
built as a Hindu temple and then converted to a Buddhist one, as well as a
symbol of national pride in Cambodia. The 12th century wonder is a UNESCO World
Heritage Site, and a big tourist attraction. You know what it is not? An
appropriate place to take photos of your sister's butt. Which is why two
sisters from Arizona were just arrested and deported to Thailand.

Lindsay Adams (22) and Leslie Adams (20) were visiting the
temple on Friday, when they were caught in the act. Local police told reporters
they had lowered their pants to their knees and took pictures of their
buttocks."

According to CambodiaExpatsOnline.com, the women admitted to taking the pics and were charged with
"trafficking pornography and exposing sexual organs," which could
have carried a six month jail sentence and a fine for the equivalent of $250
each. Instead, they got off with just the fine and a four-year ban from
Cambodia. And a huge scare, we're sure.

Like other places of worship, a visit to Angkor Wat calls for a certain level of respect. Though it's OK to roam the grounds in shorts and tank tops, more
modest attire is required to enter the temples. Maybe that requirement irked
the Adams sisters. Or maybe the sisters were just high on the excitement of traveling
to exotic places. Also, six months would be an insanely cruel sentence for a dumb mistake like that. And yet, their act
of disrespect is also the kind of thing that gives Western tourists an awful
name. Thanks a lot, ladies!
