Twitter’s About To Change Everything

Alright, you Luddites. It's time to get up to speed on the new, exciting, and only slightly intimidating things happening on Twitter. After teasing updates for months, the social-media network is coming clean about its latest features. According to the Twitter blog, the site will be rolling out group direct messages, allowing friends and followers to take their conversations to a more private forum. What's more, not every person in the group has to be a mutual follower, paving the way for easier Twitter intros. Users will simply be notified when they've been added to a group. The video below explains it all in more detail. And, because a picture is worth a thousand words — which is pretty useful when you've only got 140 characters to play with — Twitter has also developed a mobile video camera for users of its app. This allows users to shoot, edit, and share their own videos. Twitter tapped Oscars host Neil Patrick Harris to unveil the exciting new function.
