Emma Roberts Dresses For Winter Heat Wave, Nails It

On Wednesday, the wind chill in New York City was -18 degrees. Meanwhile, the thermometer hit 84 in Los Angeles. Pretty remarkable. If you're lucky enough to be enjoying the heat wave currently gracing the west, take a cue from Emma Roberts, who managed to dress appropriately for both the season and the weather. That's no easy task when the forecast looks like June, not January.

For an afternoon spent running errands, the American Horror Story star wore a little, black babydoll dress by Elkin. (Very Madison Montgomery, no?) Though it was sheer enough for the hot spell, the dress didn't look too summery for the dead of winter. Roberts rounded out the look with a studded, wide-brim fedora and chunky, block-heel ankle boots that look just as great with bare legs as they would with opaque tights. That, friends, is what we call transitional dressing.
