Hannah and Adam are having a rough patch, Shoshanna and Ray become buds, Jessa gets arrested, and Marnie threatens to rap and/or scat. Welcome to Girls season four.
With just a few weeks to go before the January 11 premiere, HBO has released an extended, behind-the-scenes trailer that offers more insight into each character's upcoming storyline. Hannah, for instance, is off in Iowa for her writing program. She's feeling good about her talent and eating healthy grapes (yay!), but is bummed about leaving Adam and doesn't seem to be making many friends (boo!). Thank goodness there's Elijah, undergrad parties, and Jell-O wrestling to cheer her up.

Marnie, meanwhile, is still shagging the coupled-up Desi and pursuing her awesomely awkward music career. Oh, Marnie. Don't ever change.
Shosh has become your typical college grad who realizes that a degree and a proficiency in jewelry trends are no match for a terrible job market. As such, she throws her effort in making over Ray, who is now a politician. Just go with it.
As for Jessa, she's still sneering, being mean, and weighing in on race relations. Sounds about right.
