The Notorious B.I.G./Serial Mash-Up You Never Knew You Couldn’t Live Without

Serial has already had its fair share of parodies, from last night's Saturday Night Live to Funny or Die's spot-on tribute. This latest one isn't so much a parody as it is a genius linking of two famously unsolved (supposedly) murders. Behold, the Serial theme mashed up with Notorious B.I.G.'s "Somebody's Gotta Die."
DJ Fafu is responsible for the riveting remix, which layers Biggie's rhymes over the radio show's tinkling theme by Nick Thornburn. It's a good distraction for fans who are a little bit lost after this week's season finale. It's also got us thinking. Can we get Sarah Koenig to take on the Biggie Smalls murder for season two?

Technically, documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield already went there with 2002's Biggie & Tupac. Koenig's not exactly Veronica Mars, but she's persistent as hell and we'd happily tune in every week to see her try to track down Suge Knight. The only downside would be having to alter the voices of Diddy and Snoop Dogg as they weigh in on past petty crimes and that time Biggie stopped an argument by kissing a dude on the cheek.
Or something like that. Just throwing it out there.
