Here’s What A Real Life Fashion Barbie Looks Like

It was Jeremy Scott who famously sent real-life Barbies rollerblading down the runway for Moschino’s spring '15 collection, but now even more designers are hopping inside Scott’s plastic-inspired world. In a new editorial for the January issue of Vogue Paris, photographer Giampaolo Sgura has captured models Magdalena Frackowiak and Elisabeth Erm posing as life-sized dolls, wearing 12 of the best collections straight from the runway. For the record, that's Inès de La Fressange on the cover — not a Barbie — and the Chanel muse is total babe nonetheless.
Featuring Valentino, Miu Miu, Saint Laurent, Fendi, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Ralph Lauren, Emporio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, and (of course) Moschino, the editorial's high-fashion mannequins come "wrapped" in faux toy boxes — just like the ones in stores. Except instead of Barbie’s pink pumps, this photo shoot includes Chanel No. 5 perfume, Louis Vuitton handbags, and a custom Fendi tennis racket — proof that life in plastic is fantastic — and also pretty deluxe. Trust us, even with all of Barbie’s designer collabs and (sometimes questionable) careers, we’ve never seen a doll quite like this before.
