Let’s Talk About Tia From Sister Sister, Shall We?

Had you told us 15 years ago that Tia Mowry’s peak sartorial moments would happen in 2014, we wouldn't have believed you. But, Mowry (now Mowry-Hardrict, actually) is here, in the future, to set us straight. While this half of the Sister Sister twins was always the slightly more classically feminine and polished dresser — compared to Tamera's wonderful flair for clashing colors and layering oversized button-downs — nowadays she’s opting for the sleek and modern. The results are straight-up stunning. In fact, the former child star found herself on our best dressed list twice this year, and this look from last night’s Selma premiere shows why.
Wrapped up in a Stone Cold Fox tuxedo dress, half of the T-and-T twosome was glowing in crisp white. The dress itself was an exercise in dualities, too: flowing yet tailored; buttoned-up, yet complete with an Angelina-esque high slit. We think it’s just as inspired now as Blossom hats and layered jumper dresses were when cozying up with our sibs to watch TGIF was the best possible Friday night. Should you consult with our '90s selves, you'll know that's no small feat.
