Demonstrators Organize “Face-Sit-In” To Protest Porn Restrictions

We imagine Will and Kate are ever so glad that their whirlwind trip Stateside has ended in time for them to return to London for this. On Friday, to protest new legislation banning certain sex acts from U.K.-produced streaming porn, some 500 demonstrators plan to assemble outside the Palace of Westminster — home to Parliament — to simulate the very sex acts that the government has banned.
On December 1, the U.K. passed the Audiovisual Media Services Regulations 2014, which censors a considerable number of sex acts in VoD pornography. The list includes spanking, caning, "aggressive whipping," penetration by any object "associated with violence," physical or verbal abuse (it doesn't matter if it's consensual), urolagnia ("water sports"), female ejaculation, strangulation, face-sitting, and fisting.
Friday's #PornProtest, led by Charlotte Rose — an activist, sex therapist, and former sex worker — will highlight the absurdity of censoring in film sex acts that consenting adults can still perform in private (and in front of government buildings, so long as those adults are clothed). "These laws are not only sexist," Rose told London24, "but they are taking away people’s choices without consent. Personal liberty is what we are fighting for on Friday." A face-sitting demonstration will take center stage at the protest; in the fight for free speech, demonstrators are apparently planning to break the Guinness record for longest time spent sitting on another person's face. We wish them the best of luck.
