This Is The Next Level In High-Tech Headphones

As far as fitness accessories go, quality earphones and the latest heart rate trackers are major parts of the market. But, the future of fitness technology might just be in the combination of the two. Thanks to the partnership of two moguls — rapper 50 Cent (who also happens to own the headphone company SMS Audio) and always-innovative Intel — anyone looking to break a sweat can now track their progress without the extra gear.
The BioSport In-Ear Headphones, which are sweat- and water-resistant, also include a continuous heart rate sensor. And, unlike some other models, they work without a built-in battery; instead, they draw power from your phone’s audio jack. Using your smartphone, these headphones can send data to the easy and popular RunKeeper app, with more app compatibilities planned for the future. Additionally, the Biosports are able to track all the basics: pace, distance, elevation, and calories burned.

LG also offers a heart-rate-monitor-and-headphone combo, the LG HM Earphone. These earphones connect to a small data-processing device that can be worn on your arm or waistband. The device then transfers your workout data to the free LG Fitness Tracker App or Lifeband Touch Fitness Tracker over Bluetooth®. And, don’t forget: These fellas also need to be charged for use.
Now available online and soon to hit stores, BioSport In-Ear Headphones provide users with a simple and almost thought-free way to record their athletic conquests, both on and off the treadmill.
