Martha Stewart's Thanksgiving was served with a side of controversy this year. The homemaking doyenne invited a few of her photographer friends to her Westchester farm for the holiday — Terry Richardson included.
A since-deleted Instagram shot from Stewart's personal account showed the two friends posing together, she holding a flower photograph Richardson gifted her. (A slightly less focused version still exists on MSLO editorial director Kevin Sharkey's feed.) The comments beneath the deleted photo were rife with disappointment. "Nothing says holiday like chilling with sex offenders," one user wrote
Stewart and Richardson have been pals since her Porter shoot in July 2014.
She personally requested he photograph her for the story, referring to him as "cute
." Still, "cute" isn't the first word that comes to mind when you consider the multiple sexual abuse charges against Richardson.
Aside from Richardson's attendance, Stewart also hosted Douglas Friedman and Todd Eberle; each of whom brought her a flower photograph, too. Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated Thanksgiving with some large dry Cecropia leaves
