A hot single with a hit single? Show 'em how it's done, J Lawr.
The Oscar winner is hitting the U.K. singles chart this week at a respectable #29. And, it's all thanks to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part One.
Lawrence's version of "The Hanging Tree," which she sings in the franchise's latest film, is poised to be a hit — at least on the other side of the pond. The song was originally written by The Lumineers, but will no doubt forever be known going forward as a Katniss Everdeen track. Not bad for a gal who convinced us all that she couldn't carry a tune.
