Here’s How Victoria’s Secret’s 88-Pound Bra Gets Made

Amidst the spectacle of the forthcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show it'll be easy for some of the craftsmanship to get overlooked. There are legs. There are lights. There's huge hair. There are sparkly props. And, we get it, there's also Taylor Swift. But, we still need to pay our respects to the handiwork that goes into the awe-inspiring looks that come down the runway. For that, we've got Swarovski to thank.
We got an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at how a get-up with 150,000 crystals went from an idea to, well, Lily Donaldson's body. What'd it take? Imagination, countless hours (each custom Swarovski crystal rope takes six hours to craft), customization (Lily had about five fittings), and a whole lotta working out (the piece weighs 88 pounds). Watch the process from sketch to form and get ready to swoon when the pieces hit the runway next week.
