Beyoncé knows we’re listening to her leaked new songs today. She’s well aware that we’ve probably already started analyzing the lyrics of “Ring Off” and added “7/11” to all our weekend playlists. The proof is in the Slurpee.
Last night, Bey stepped out in the kind of ensemble you usually see her in. There was a studded leather jacket, super skinny jeans, and lace-up, heeled booties. But, she chose a suspicious accessory: a cherry-red, jumbo Slurpee — you know, the kind from 7-Eleven — that perfectly matched her lipstick shade.
Now, we’re not suggesting that her casual jeans-and-tee look is a sartorial subtweet to the leaked song. But, we’re not not saying that. Somehow, we have a hard time chalking up that Slurpee to coincidence and a sweet tooth. It’s possible, though, that the real stars of the outfit are the acid-washed denim and fluffy statement handbag by Dee Ocleppo — she makes a strong case for both trends.
